Mt. Zion Baptist Church is a church on the move for the Master! We are proudly affiliated with the Southern
Baptist Convention and members of the Georgia Baptist Convention as well as the Columbus Baptist Association.
However, it is not our membership that determines who we are - it is our Mission! We have committed
to "restarting" Mt. Zion Baptist Church with an attitude much different than most Southern Baptist churches.
You see, we strive to be and build disciples of every man, woman, boy and girl: not converts! Our Pastor holds
a strong conviction that if we disciple properly, everything else will fall into place: worship, ministry, prayer, and
yes, evangelism.
That
is why Mt. Zion Baptist Church is striving to become a Disciple-Making
Organization!
The real story of Mt. Zion is not our organizational history but the changed lives that have resulted from God's presence in our midst. In last two years many have found new life, purpose and freedom through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We hope God is leading you to join us in this life-changing journey.
